Summary: Not wokring for us
Comment: I am not much of a cook so I though it would be somewhat easy since its for your kids. I have just given up. I tried 5 receipes. I found that either I messed somthing up or they just did not taste well. Many of the receipe are not really for children - my kids like the simple no mixing of foods types. After the 100.00 trip to the store -- I thought.. My child will eat most fruits and veggies with out the deception so I am just sticking to the RAW way.

Summary: Deceptively Frustrating!!!
Comment: These recipes take a long time to prepare, they don't turn out like they're supposed to, and my kids STILL won't eat dinner! The amount of vegetables involved doesn't even come close a full serving, so don't think you're solving your "healthy eating" dilemma. Although the idea of sneaking vegetables into your cooking is great, these recipes are not.

Summary: SNEAKING IN THE GOOD STUFF
Comment: Deceptively Delicious, was properly titled, we tried out the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe that included the chick peas, my 16 year old couldn't get enough. In fact all of my co-workers want the recipe. I baked them for the Company Christmas Pary. Thanks for such great ideas on how to feed the kids well without them ever knowing.

Summary: Love it!!!!
Comment: This book is very well organized with how too's including stocking your pantry and refrigerator. It includes easy to prepare and delicious recipes. There are tips for helping the children you love with schedules and manners (which is something that people forget about and so refreshing to be reminded of).

Editorial Reviews:

It has become common knowledge that childhood obesity rates are increasing every year. But the rates continue to rise. And between busy work schedules and the inconvenient truth that kids simply refuse to eat vegetables and other healthy foods, how can average parents ensure their kids are getting the proper nutrition and avoiding bad eating habits? A mother of three, Jessica Seinfeld wages a personal war against sugars, packaged foods, and other nutritional saboteurs, she offers appetising alternatives for parents who find themselves succumbing to the fastest and easiest (and least healthy) choices available to them. With the help of a nutritionist and a professional chef, Seinfeld has developed a month's worth of meals for kids of all ages that includes, for example, pureed cauliflower in macaroni cheese, and cabbage in spaghetti and meatballs. She also provides revealing and humorous personal anecdotes, tear-out shopping guides to help parents zoom through the supermarket, and tips on how to deal with the kid that 'must have' the latest sugar bomb cereal.
