Summary: might be something better for snow
Comment: I ordered these for my daughter for x-mas but she refused to wear them. I'm sure they are super for snow and yukky weather, but they look very orthopedic and clunky. They were a little hard to get on with socks and she said it felt like wearing bricks on her feet. She (and I) prefer snow boots or Merrell's in place of these, but they probably have their place.

Summary: Snow tires for your feet
Comment: These are hands down my favorite winter footwear. I live in Alaska so we know snow and how to get around in it. The tread is very high and I wear these the whole season; great for traction and I've never slipped in these. Stylish and comfy. I've had mine for about 7 years and the suede is just now starting to crack around the creasing. I haven't treated them or anything; probably would have went without cracking if I had.
Worth every penny.

Comment: These shoes are amazing for keep you above the snow and slush! The treads are super-high - they're definitely the best feature. I wish the shoes were higher around the ankles, and the suede gets weather stained - water spots...But they are good winter shoes - a nice in between regular shoes and boots.
