Customer Rating: Summary: Warm Christmas story Comment: The type of movie to watch on a chilly night in front of the fire. It helps warm you from within.
Customer Rating: Summary: The Best Christmas Movie Comment: This is one of the best christmas movie I have seen. I wish they would do a part 2 of the Christmas Card. Great cast in this movie and the acting wonderful . I dont want to give the story away. It is a must too see
Customer Rating: Summary: Good, clean christmasy romance. Comment: the DVD jacket says, "Heartbreaing drama..." Well, never did figure out what was heartbreaking in the movie. although the level of acting was not the super excellent, it's good. The story line is great, lots of humor and light heartedness and just an overall feel good movie. Go for it!
Customer Rating: Summary: A GREAT MOVIE TO WATCH YEAR-ROUND Comment: THIS IS A GREAT MOVIE. IF YOU DON'T LIKE THIS MOVIE, WHAT YOU NEED FOR CHRISTMAS IS A REALITY CHECK.
TWO DIFFERENT SETS OF CIRCUMSTANCES BRING A SOFT SPOKEN UNASSUMING WAR HERO, ON LEAVE FROM ACTIVE DUTY IN THE WAR-TORN MIDDLE EAST, TO NAVADA CITY, CAL., WHERE HE MEETS THE SPELMANS, A LOGGING FAMILY, WHO'S DAUGHTER SENDS CHRISTMAS CARDS FOR DISTRUBUTION TO OUR TROOPS IN HARMS WAY. HE IS THE RECIPIENT OF ONE OF HER CARDS WHILE DEPLOYED TO A WAR ZONE AS A COMBATANT; HAVING NO FAMILY, IT WAS THE ONLY MAIL - THE CHRISTMAS CARD - HE HAS EVER RECIEIVE DURING THIS TOUR OF COMBAT, AND IT HAS A PROFOUND EFFECT ON HIM. YES, THIS MOVIE HAS A HAPPY ENDING, BUT THE STORY IS A GOOD ONE AND HAS GOOD MOVEMENT; THERE ARE NO SLOW PARTS.
THIS MOVIE WAS RATED AS ONE OF HALMARK'S BEST EVER, AND FOR GOOD REASON. I'VE WATCH THIS MOVIE MANY TIMES AND ENJOYED IT EACH TIME, AND I PLAN TO WATCH IT AGAIN TONIGHT. IT WAS, FOR ME, CERTAINLY WORTH THE MONEY.
Customer Rating: Summary: Sweet, witty, funny and charming. Comment: This is a sweet love story wrapped up in witty comedy and a very believable story line. I haven't enjoyed watching a movie so much in years. I borrowed it from my local library and watched it and sincerely enjoyed it. From a military standpoint, I thought that the main character did a wonderful job of portraying a soldier both on and off the battlefield. So often service members have had broken relationships and family and so they are very guarded with any relationship and I really saw that brilliantly portrayed in Cody's character. I also thought that Faith's character was very cute and did a decent job. The character of the father, Luke, did a wonderful job and was flat out hilarious and cantankerous.
I think that what really touched me about this story is that this is almost exactly how I met my husband when he was stationed overseas and then, well one day he just "showed up" in our little Midwest farm town to meet me... and the rest is history. It made me remember and cry (bah - I hate crying during movies). But I would certainly reccommend this to anyone looking for a good, clean, funny, wonderful movie to enjoy!

Once in a while, a movie comes along that reminds us how powerful love can be. In the midst of war in Afghanistan, Captain Cody Cullen (John Newton, "Desperate Housewives") is touched by lovely card sent by Faith Spelman (Alice Evans, "The Chris Isaak Show") from the small picturesque town of Nevada City, California. As months pass, the card never leaves his side, giving him the strength to survive and setting him on a mission to find her. The Christmas Card has received massive critical acclaim and audiences are raving. Now for the first time on DVD, Emmy-nominated (TBD) The Christmas Card is available with great bonus features and is the perfect gift for this holiday season!
