Summary: CBS really screwed up yet again and misjudged their audience!
Comment: The sad thing when CBS suits pulled this show, they're excuse was they wanted to find a show that pulled in more woman....HELLLLLLLLLLLLO??Did any of the so-called brains behind programming over there pay any attention to the ratings? And how many women were watching this show..mainly due to Alex? And then they put another show in its place and now thats been axed too.....I really have my doubts about the intelligence behind the CBS programming from the Prez all the way down. Had they kept this show on--following Ghost Whisperer (which was the perfect match of two shows) they'd have a bigger following especially on the heels of the giant sucesses of True Blood and Twilight. I thought these top-paid brass at the Networks were supposed to be smart enough to think these things through...or maybe they are so much like our soon to be former President of the US--shoot first then deal with the problem....so take a show off due to just being panicky...then find out later you shot yourself in the foot...or got a big neck bite!!! And could have had a goldmine! Man good thing Seinfeld never ended up on CBS--those idiots would have cancelled it after two episodes!!! CBS is the loser here.

Summary: CBS BRING MOONLIGHT BACK!!!!!!!!
Comment: This show was one of the best shows on TV. The chemistry between Alex and Sophia was incredible. I am hoping that CBS reads these reviews to know how much the Moonlight viewers miss the show. You will love this series but it will make you sad to see the last episode knowing that CBS gave it the AXE. Please bring Moonlight back!!

Summary: A great show not given a chance
Comment: I guess there were a lot of factors against Moonlight. Maybe it was the time slot? Maybe it was the Writer's Guild strike? Maybe it was a general disinterest in a vampire turned private investigator and the mortal woman he loves? Whatever the reason, Moonlight suffered a premature death just as the story was opening up to reveal a potential threat to the vampire community as well as Mick and Beth finally realizing that they loved each other. Like so many shows this past season, Moonlight was by far one of my favorites that succumbed to cancellation. Judging my the positive responses by other Amazon users, I am most certainly not alone. The story definitely presented itself like a supernatural Beauty and the Beast and why shouldn't it seeing as how one of the creators is the very man who brought us the story of Catherine Chandler and Vincent. Moonlight had all the drama mixed in with the horror associated with vampires and yet still had heart enough to show Mick's compassion. There were elements that to me at first seemed too close to another vampire series entitled Forever Knight. Yet, as I watched the series unfold, I saw how Moonlight began to branch out and follow its own path. The path and the show ended too fast. This is a series I would most definitely recommend to others who enjoy the genres of drama, crime noir and vampires in general.

Editorial Reviews:

Any private eye knows a lot about other people's secrets. L.A. private eye Mick St. John (Alex O'Loughlin) has a secret of his own. He’s a vampire, dwelling in a covert netherworld complicated by friendship with an undead finance honcho (Jason Dohring), memories of the alluring ex- wife (Shannyn Sossamon) who turned him into a vampire, and a relationship with a human (Sophia Myles) he feels drawn to protect – and maybe to love. But no matter how tempting, Mick knows a vampire-human romance is eternally dangerous. This 16-episode, 4-disc set of the series voted the 2008 People's Choice Award for Favorite New TV Drama is a sure entertainment bet for all who like their vampire stories sleek, intense and passionate.
